One of golf’s major championships for juniors; the Junior PGA Championship is where the best junior golfers in the United States and abroad get their start. The Championship celebrates its 46th anniversary. The dates for the national championships are below:

– Boys Junior PGA Championship: July 30th-August 2nd, 2024 – Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, MD

– Girls Junior PGA Championship: July 30th-August 2nd, 2024 – Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, MD

**In order to advance to the national event, players must be residents within the boundary of the Philadelphia PGA Section. The Philadelphia PGA Section covers Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, Cecil County Maryland and the entire state of Delaware. Players who are residents outside of the section, are eligible for the AJGA PBE stars, but are NOT eligible to advance to the national championship.**

 

To be eligible for the National Junior PGA Championship, one must:

1. Be the top 2 Boys or Girls from the Philadelphia Junior PGA Championship.  Successful qualifiers must be residents of the Philadelphia PGA Section. Qualifiers are identified based on the 2 lowest gross scores in the 13-18 age division.

To be eligible for the Philadelphia Boys Junior PGA Championship, one must:

1. Finish in top third (1/3) of all Boys 13-18 at 1 of 4  local qualifiers.
2. Qualifiers from the previous National Junior PGA Championship are exempt.
3. Have a national ranking in the top 200 on the Junior Golf Scoreboard, Golfweek or AJGA Rolex Rankings as of January 1st.
4. Finish in the previous years’ top 3 on the Player of the Year Points list for the Boys 16-18, Boys 13-15, Girls 16-18 and Girls 13-15 Division on the Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour.
5. Be the previous years’ Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware high school individual state champion.
6. Be the previous years’ junior champion from an SRGA (State and Regional Golf Associations) which include:
   1. GAP – Junior Boys Championship
   2. PA Golf Association – Junior Boys Championship
   3. NJ State Golf Assoc. – Junior Boys Championship
   4. DE State Golf Assoc. – Junior Championships
7. Qualify for the Junior PGA WORKS Championship

To be eligible for the Philadelphia Girls Junior PGA Championship, one must:

1. Register! The Philadelphia Girls Junior PGA Championship is an open event and first come, first serve. The event is open to all Girls 13-18.
