Dunigan Dominates at the 2022 Girl’s Junior

Many Close Calls for Second 

Mount Laurel, NJ (July 11, 2022) – Laurel Creek Country Club was the host of the Girl’s Junior Championship. With its rolling hills and scenic views, it was the perfect backdrop for the tournament.

Mary Grace Dunigan (Kennett Square, PA) was the victor posting a very solid round one score of 69(-2), followed by a two over second round of 73 for a gross score of 142 (E). Three girls battled it out in a two hole playoff for the second spot National Junior PGA Championship running August 2-5 at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club in Palos Park, Illinois.

Sawyer Brockstedt (Rehoboth Beach, DE), Grace Smith (Wallingford, PA) and Kayla Maletto (Sinking Spring, PA) all finished the day with a gross total of 146 (+4). After parring both playoff holes, it was Brockstedt who came out victorious. She will join Dunigan and advance.
