Stetson Steals a Win at the Stableford

Rosenstein and Sass also medal

Exton, PA – It was another muggy day on the Philly Junior Tour as 28 golfers competed in the Junior Stableford Championship at Whitford Country Club. The many penalty areas on the front nine of Whitford CC proved to be no match for the field, as many players shot low scores.

In the Boys 16-18 Division, Frankie Sass (Exton, PA) and Evan Rosenstein (Plymouth Meeting, PA) tied for first place with 30 stableford points. Rosenstein had birdies on No. 6 and 10, while Sass had a birdie on No. 8. Anthony Carson (Broomall, PA) and Eric Fryer (Ambler, PA) tied for third place with 29 points. Carson had a strong start, carding a birdie on No. 1 and earning another on No. 16.

Hunter Stetson (Newton Square, PA) claimed first place for the Boys 13-15 Division with 34 points. Stetson carded four birdies on No. 9, 11, 12 and 15 leading him to have the most points in the field. Derek Johnson (Mountain Top, PA) came in second place with 27 points. Johnson birdied No. 6 and 11. Coming in third place with 26 points was Jackson Fryer (Ambler, PA). Fryer’s lone birdie of the round came on the par 4 342-yard No. 15.
