  • I got a chance to say it to Ryan, Zac, and David, but I will say it again. They were awesome all year long. Tournaments well run, questions answered ASAP, happy to be out there. It all showed. Just the little things like saying hi to Baylor when the saw him before a round matters and doesn’t go unnoticed. The kids appreciate the work they do also even if they don’t hear it from them.   • This was Skylar’s first year or the tour as a 8 year old. She won her first two tournaments and it was the most exhilarating moments of her life. She was on such a high and it realy made her reflect on how all her hard work translated to her play. It also made her a more confident student at school. Her grades has always been great, however golf gave her a added confidence to not shy away from the big moments. I credited this to her joining the tour. Her maturity, resilence and personality has elevated and empowered her to be herself and embrace others as well.

  • Our son is fourteen and has been playing with the Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour now for two years. His experience with the tour has been wonderful. This program is exceptional and we are so thankful that this is available to the young golfers today. Our only wish is that we would have found it sooner; we would have loved our son to play at the Developmental level as well. Our son has made so many new friends and has had the opportunity to play and compete with juniors of all skill levels.   • The Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour was recommended to us a couple years ago after Mark attended one on Vin Ciarlone’s Junior Golf Camps at Northampton CC with a couple of his cousins. Vin thought that Mark demonstrated some natural golf talent and would enjoy a very positive experience getting involved with the Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour. Truer words could not have been spoken.

    However, it wasn’t until this year that I could convince Mark to take some time away from his baseball and football team activities to give the Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour a shot. He wonders now why he waited so long.

    The Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour experience has far exceeded all of his (and my) expectations. The level of competition is very challenging and Mark has enjoyed playing with all the fellow members he has met. The tournaments are very professionally organized and run…and the courses selected are excellent! Mark commented to me after our first event that he really felt like he was on the “Pro Tour”. The PhillyJuniorTour.com web site is awesome and the proactive email communication system is fantastic. Everything is truly first-rate.

    You and all who work in the Philly Junior Tour organization are to be highly commended. Very well done! The Farley’s cannot wait until next season begins. It surely cannot get here soon enough!

  • My son just completed his first year playing on the Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour. Not only did he have the opportunity to play on some of the region’s best golf courses, he gained maturity, knowledge of the game and invaluable competitive golf experience. He had fun, made friends and is anxiously awaiting the next season. All the golf professionals associated with the Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour, especially Brian Schulte, did an excellent job organizing and managing the tournaments and communicating with the players – and the website is terrific!

  • My first experience in the Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour was at the age of twelve. To be able to play in tournaments at some of the best courses in a four state area has been a great experience. It has enabled me each year to partake at the next level of golf. I am now seventeen years old and able to compete in national tournaments like the AJGA and the FCWT. Many of these tournaments are followed in person by some of the most prestigious collegiate coaches seeking prospective golfers for their schools golf teams. Jim Furyk, Phil Mickelson, Davis Love and Tiger Woods, in their teen years all had partaken in the AJGA tournaments where they were first recognized. Belonging to the Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour can eventually lead you in this direction.

    I am now in my senior year at Marple Newtown High School, captain and MVP of our golf team for the past several years and taking the Central League Championship the past two years. Hopefully I will continue on to College golf where I am now a prospective golfer for James Madison University, Campbell University, Penn State and Towson University where I have been in contact with their golf coaches. All this because of the dedicated services of the Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour and especially Joe Monforto and Brian Schulte. Now in my last year in the Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour I will always remember and reminisce about all the great times and opportunities, how the tour got better each year and the friends I made along the way.

The opportunities presented by The Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour are numerous inclusive of the wonderful courses that are played upon, the competition that is enveloped in each event, the excellent organizational skills of the Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour director and most of all, the friendships that are developed between the participants. Juniors have ipods, computers, cell phones, etc., as distractions in today’s world and it is quite heart warming to have our son ask when the next event is even as we leave from an event just completed. The Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour is the greatest training ground for junior golf in the entire Philadelphia Section.
