Sachar & Blanchette Claim Victory in a Playoff at Saucon Valley CC
Three other teams claim division titles
Bethlehem, PA — In today’s special team event, 40 golfers battled it out on the Philly Junior Tour. Saucon Valley’s Grace Course made for a beautiful setting for the Junior Fourball Championship.
Starting the day in the Boys 16-18 Division, a tie saw both Athen Sachar & Caden Blanchette and Tyler Hager & Joshua Suto shoot scores of 69 (-3). Sachar & Blanchette won the playoff after 4 holes. A four-way tie for third had Owen Fahs & Chase Skrapits, Matthew Tressler & Andrew Maddock, Joe Smith & Thomas Young, and Luke Watson & Luke Fazio all shoot scores of 70 (-2).
In the Boys 13-15 Division, Matthew Ronca & Michael Vital placed first with a score of 72 (E). Three birdies propelled them to a six-stroke victory. In second place, Justin Edwards & Trent Moyer carded a 78 (+6). The team had two birdies. In a tie for third place, Andrew Zieg & Nicholas Vitale and Macade Knoblauch & Chase Dillman finished with a score of 79 (+7).
The lone team in the Girls 16-18 Division of Gabrielle Courtney & Mollie Young shot a score of 82 (+10). They had one birdie to highlight their round.
The sole competitors in the Girls 13-15 Division, Meredith Finger & Reagan Garnsey carded a score of 77 (+5). They had two birdies.
